The Swartz
Creek Athletic Boosters is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the
lives of students who participate in the school’s athletic programs. Through
school athletics, students learn
discipline, sportsmanship,
teamwork, commitment and respect – all of which can be integrated into everyday
life and helps in their physical and emotional development.
The Swartz Creek Athletic Booster members believe that success in academics and athletics are not only compatible but are mutually reinforcing, and success in one can strengthen the other. It is our belief that providing support and incentive can help our students achieve their goals for academic and athletic excellence.
Our
Mission
The
purpose of the Swartz Creek Athletic Boosters is to provide assistance to the
athletic department for the enhancement of athletic programs of Swartz Creek
Community Schools.
The Booster Club is dedicated to the continued support of our student athletes,
coaching staff, trainers and athletic department programs.
The mission of the Swartz Creek Athletic Boosters is to:
A. Support athletic and academic excellence in all student athletes.
B. Promote active and involved parent and community leadership.
C. Provide supplementary financial support to all Swartz Creek athletic teams.
D. Recognize our high achieving student scholar athletes with academic awards and scholarships.
E. Promote sportsmanship and ethics and maintain a tradition of excellence, which exemplifies our
student athletes, coaches, athletic trainers and teams.
F. Provide a venue for representatives from all sports to share issues of
concern, ask question
and exchange ideas.
With an approximate $60,000 annual operating budget, the Swartz Creek Athletic Boosters last year supported 1,300 high school and 1000 middle school students who participated on 68 teams in 22 programs, such as football, softball, hockey, soccer and cheerleading. Close to 50 percent of the high school student body participates in at least one athletic activity!
Some of the activities that the athletic booster’s have engaged in during the past year include: Meet the Team, Pride & Spirit Night, Merchandise sales, Booster night out, and Academic and scholarship awards. We sponsor several fund raising activities throughout the year: football concessions, 50/50 raffles, Grand cash raffle, Annual Golf outing and the Duck Race during home town days.
