SUSTAINABILITY TASK FORCE

The Sustainability Task Force will share information and make recommendations about products, services, policies and procedures that will advance the mission of being a better environmental citizen, communicate best practices in environmental management within their buildings, and educate their peers about how they can promote greater sustainability.

SUSTAINABILITY COMMITTEES

Academics and Research:  Examines the student experience at Swartz Creek Community Schools and explores opportunities for all students to put their collective efforts together to take action within their buildings and community.

Community and Communications:  Illuminates all of Swartz Creek Community Schools sustainable practices and web presence.  Educates the Swartz Creek Community on sustainable practices, explores new opportunities for outreach, and motivates the surrounding community to do their part in making Swartz Creek a greener city.

Operations: Investigates all aspects of operations within Swartz Creek Community Schools including energy consumption and recycling practices.  Explores methods of decreasing the School Districts ecological footprint through simple procedural changes and new sustainable practices.
