Dear Parents and Guardians,

We would like to inform you about a recent STRANGER DANGER that took place within our district. On May 20, 2015, at approximately 3:10 p.m., a white male in his late 40s, or early 50s, approached a young child on Cook Road in Gaines Township after she was let off the bus and was walking to her drive that was three homes down.  The male was described as having longer hair in the back and either short hair, or no hair, on the top of his head.

He went past the girl in a newer Burgundy colored 4 door pickup truck stated to be "beefy" looking (possibly a Ford).  He then stopped, backed up, rolled the windows down and said, "hi”.  He then kept motioning for her to come over to the truck.  She stated that he totally blocked her travel, and she would have had to go around and into the road, or cross a deep cattail filled ditch.

The girl’s mother happened to see the incident from the front porch and walked out into the yard towards the road.  The white male then spun his wheels and took off at a high rate of speed westbound on Cook Road towards Seymour Road. They were not able to get the license plate number.

Please share this information with friends and neighbors.  If you see anything SUSPICIOUS, please call 9-1-1.
